Invisible Disabilities® Association creates InVisible InCourage LIVE Series to encourage others
The global impact caused by COVID-19 has caused massive hardship for people around the world. One of the most vulnerable communities affected by the crisis is the community of individuals who are living with invisible disabilities.
Those diagnosed with invisible debilitating physical and mental conditions, like cancer, lupus, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury, diabetes and fibromyalgia, are more susceptible to anxiety, stress and flare-ups amid coronavirus.
In these times, it can be vital to receive support from those who are walking along the same path, which is part of the focus for organizations like the Invisible Disabilities® Association (IDA). IDA is committed to raising awareness and helping create connections across the nation for people living with invisible disabilities.
To help bring people together during a time of grief, change and uncertainty, IDA is featuring a new online show, InVisible InCourageSM LIVE Series, to highlight the challenges and personal experiences of those with invisible disabilities.
Each episode of the show features an amazing guest who offers support and shares their stories of hope.
The current hostess is Kellie Pokrifka, Founder and Executive Director of Concussion GamePlan and IDA Executive Board Member. A traumatic brain injury survivor, Pokrifka also is a co-host of The Migraine World Summit and a Brain Injury Association of America Advisory Council Member.
